John has been in the Painting and Construction Industry for the past 35 years, establishing his own Company 24 years ago located in Seattle, Washington...

following in his fathers' footsteps, R.C. Ostrem Painting & Decorating.

 

     John, heading into his 25th year in business as a sole proprietor, has had the privilege of working in different regions of the United States, applying his craft and trade for Residential Custom Builders, Private Homeowners, Interior Designers and Architects.

Just a few highlights of a quarter century of applications of Interior and Exterior Finishes include Painted Finishes for Custom Designed and Built Residential Homes on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina by Dick Low & Associates Design & Build, Manchester Designs in Portland, Maine, Barbara Brooks Interiors, Austin, Texas and Contractors and private homeowners in the Seattle area.

 

     While living in Cape Elizabeth, Maine, John worked with Amy Manchester Hawkes of Manchester Designs, applying Interior Painted Finishes for the Annual Portland Symphony Orchestra Designer Showcases at The West Mansion, Portland, Maine (2003), and The Rectory, Falmouth, Maine (2005). 

John's first National Magazine Pictorial Publication appeared in "Better Homes & Gardens Magazine" Special Issue, "Beautiful Bedrooms", and also in New England's "Down East" Magazine.

 

     John currently serves The Island of Islesboro and Coastal Maine.
